Glass Frameless Pool Fencing – A Safe and Beautiful Choice

Swimming pools are lots of fun, and a great way to escape the summer heat. But they can also be terribly dangerous if proper safety precautions are not taken. And for families with young children or pets, pool safety is a prime concern and high priority.

A proper and secure fence around your pool is a must.

But just because you’re going to enclose your pool – as you most certainly should – doesn’t mean that you need to sacrifice on the beautiful design. By using glass pool fencing to create a safe enclosure out of glass, you’ll be able to maintain the look and feel of luxury and open beauty, without compromising on safety and security.

Pool size or shape has no bearing on whether this is an option for you. When you consult with a qualified frameless glass pool fencing manufacturer, you’ll be able to have a safe and beautiful enclosure custom designed for your pool.

In addition to being a highly safe solution, a glass fence is also a low maintenance option. Regular cleanup is easy, as any window cleaning product can be used to keep your glass fence clear and spotless.

A glass fence also offers the opportunity to be able to always have a clear view of your pool. This is perfect for when you have older teens, who are able to go swimming on their own, but who you still want to keep an eye on… even if they don’t want you looking over your shoulder.

It’s a great option as well if you do a lot of entertaining. If you opt for a metal or wooden fence, your pool is cut off, and separate from the rest of your property. When you love to have pool parties or outdoor bar-b-q’s, the special glass fencing is the obvious choice.

Instead of cutting off your pool from the rest of your beautiful home and outdoor areas, you have a wide open and elegant look – one that is sure to keep bringing in compliments from your guests.

There are many options to choose from when it comes to glass frameless pool fencing. You can decide to go with colored, clear, or frosted glass.

You can choose a modern look, where the panels are visible and part of the design, or you can decide to have the most ‘invisible’ looking style instead.

When choosing a company to work with, have a look what their previous pool fencing designs look like, and feel free to ask for referrals and speak with their previous customers who would be happy to testify how happy they have been with the quality of design and workmanship the received from that company.

A good glass frameless pool fencing company will also help you make the right decision by explaining the options you have, and through our experience, how you can maximize your property. They can help advise on different designs, and many ideas and ways to solve problems that you may not have necessarily thought of on your own.

You may have decided to get a clear glass frameless pool fence because of safety regulations or out of concern for the wellbeing of your family, pets, or guests.

But when you see your finished pool fence, you will be so delighted you made this great choice for the design of your pool area and the value it adds to your home and quality of outdoor living.

Scare Birds Away With Predator Decoys

Each year homeowners are plagued with pest birds wanting to live in and eat out of their yards. Birds such as sparrows and crows love to eat the seeds out of your newly planted garden, while geese love to devour your lawn. If you have any fruit trees, they are certainly not safe from pest birds either. So how does a homeowner scare birds away?

There is one easy way to scare the birds away. Use lifelike predator decoys in your yard to scare the birds. Birds have a built in aversion to certain threatening silhouettes, such as the Red Tailed Hawk and Coyotes. Use of the decoys can be very easy and inexpensive, saving you money on lost crops, lawns and fruit.

Hawk Decoys

Hawk decoys are best used to scare birds away from your garden and fruit trees. You can hang the hawk decoys in the trees, the life like hawk will frighten other birds away. Small birds will perceive the hawk decoy as a threat and just look elsewhere for a meal.

Attach the hawk decoys to garden stakes to protect your garden from pest birds. The hawk will look over your garden scaring birds away with its presence. Every day or so just move the hawk decoy to a different area of the garden so that the other birds do not get used to it being in one spot.

To protect your whole yard or pool area, a hawk decoy can be installed on a patio cover or roof edge. Make sure the hawk is seen by the other pest birds, they will think the hawk decoy is waiting for dinner to arrive.

Coyote Decoys

Coyote decoys are used to scare pest geese away from grassy areas such as parks, golf courses, green belts and yards. The coyote decoys are easily assembled and stick right into the lawn. It is best to get several coyote decoys and place them in a “pack” formation. This way animals like ducks and deer will think that the coyotes are hunting for food and flee the area. Most coyote decoys are made of a plastic material and stainless steal rods so you do not have to worry about removing them when the lawn is watered.

Predator decoys are an easy and inexpensive way to keep birds away from your yard. As with any type of bird control product, it is best to install the decoys before the birds have made a home of your yard. Once birds are nesting in an area, it is much harder to get rid of them.

The beautiful orchid has graced our world for many centuries. Today the varieties of orchids exceed 25,000 and the number of hybrids is well over 100,000. The number of hybrids is continuously growing due to the orchid lovers are creating new and more interesting flowers. The reason to create hybrids is to increase color, design and durability of the plant. By durability, meaning how easy is it to grow, making the bloom last longer, and be less susceptible to dying from under watering. These are the orchid types that are available to purchase in the nursery.

Every orchid comes from one of two very large families. One family is called the Terrestrial and the other is the Epiphytes. Within each of these families, the different orchid types will vary. The two groups are based upon where and how the orchid grows. The first family, the Terrestrials, is the orchids which we normally see and many of the orchids grow their roots beneath the soil although some may grow their roots above and below the surface of the soil. The term for this particular species is called semi-terrestrial.

One of the more common orchid types within the Terrestrial family is the Cymbidium. This orchid was one of the first of the orchid types to be cultivated and brought into our homes. These orchids can be found in the regions of Southeast Asia, Japan and Australia. The Cymbidium should be planted in a mixture of soil and rock and is one of the more popular orchids. One attribute of the Cymbidium is that this is one of the very few orchid types that can withstand cooler temperatures.

The second of the two orchid types is the Epiphytes. These orchids grow with their roots exposed to the elements and can be found growing in a multitude of different places such as on trees and in rocky areas. Due to the places in which these orchids live, they offer a higher number of seeds to ensure that they are disbursed successfully by wind as well as animals and insects. When an orchid grows on a tree, its roots will obtain the needed moisture from the bark of the tree. The Epiphytes are easier to grow than the Terrestrial’s due to the fact that the watering process is much easier.

There are over 1,000 different Epiphytes today and each one is just as beautiful as the next. These orchid types are typically found in the more tropical areas like Australia, Polynesia, Southeast Asia and Northern India. Out of these orchid types, the Dendrobiums are the most common but do not bloom as often as we would want them to.
